Lizards & Weta, Digital Drawings
These digital drawings depict the native species of New Zealand (Weta) and Ukraine (Lizard).
I found the Lizard in my friend’s backyard back home in Ukraine. This Weta
jumped on me so I had no choice and had to draw it. It was a good painting exercise
and fun to draw these little creatures.
I am hoping to draw or paint more animals and insects sometime. This could help educate
people about the diverse ecosystems and the importance of preserving biodiversity.
These little fellows deserve more attention, especially the ones which are in danger of eradication.
Using art to raise awareness about native species, especially those in danger of extinction,
can be a powerful way to connect people with the natural world and promote conservation efforts.
Art has the power to evoke emotions and inspire action, making it a valuable tool for environmental advocacy. I hope my efforts will contribute to a greater appreciation and understanding of the
beauty and significance of these creatures.
